There are many methods to soothe a broken heart.  Many have tried and failed at certain approaches.  Ultimately we choose what works best at that time.  It doesn't really matter what we do as long as we forget about our inner torment.  That broken heart never heals the we want it to, does it? We endeavor on a new and scary road alone and all we have to show for it is an ugly scar on our chest.

Your first heart break is unforgettable - I know – you don not want to talk about it.  It was a tragic end to a great couple of years, months, weeks, days? It doesn't matter how long your last relationship was.  It was true love from the beginning and no one can tell you any different.  Do not mind the music playing in the background.  You have heard every sappy love song and now you can sing Karaoke with the best of them.
Having your heart broken makes you do the craziest things.  You become a victim of the unexpected.  Your senses are shot.  You make hasty decisions.  Life becomes a blur and this makes you unpredictable.  What will you do next? The thought of winning back your beloved is always on your mind.  You have done the impossible.  You have composed a love song, baked a cake, sent flowers and the piece de resistance – you have also written a love letter.

Do not confuse this with a brief romantic message or a written declaration of your love.  This is a testament.  It's your last chance to prove you are worthy before turning into a frog or having your stagecoach turn into a pumpkin again.  It is hard to separate reality from fantasy.  We mistake the act of falling in love with a sense of bliss and grandeur.  Every moment is ideal and fulfillment is just a matter of hearing the following words, "I love you."
A love letter written on a personalized card, whether your heart is broken or not, soothes the soul.  We write to convince ourselves that life continues on with or without what we have grown to admire and despise – love.  Yeah, with just one word, our lives can turn into something straight out of a Hollywood movie.  Perhaps, after all that has been said and done, what matters most is what we have to show for in the sequel.
