Allahabad Agriculture Deemed University, also known as the Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, is a institution of higher learning that is located in India. The university is growing quickly and the institute offers degrees in 28 undergraduate programs, 48 postgraduate programs and 11 diploma programs, along with a variety of doctorates in other disciplines. The Allahabad Agricultural Institute was launched as an endeavor by the Christian community in India with the hopes of improving life and agriculture in rural areas, while observing the Christian vision of harmony with nature. The primary goal of the institute is to shape well rounded individuals with devotion to Christian beliefs and values and a diverse educational background in a variety of areas. Students who are enrolled in the school in any academic program are exposed to various forms of training in order to develop a broad skill set. The university also assists students with job placement and career planning. Some of the more popular degree programs are intended to prepare students at the institute for jobs such as farmers on their own land, agricultural scientists, farm managers, agricultural research workers, extension workers and agricultural administrative positions.
