Alberta Learners Licence Practice Test

In Alberta, a person is able to get their learners licence when they reach the age of 14 years old. There are four basic requirements for obtaining a learners license in Alberta including have parental permission, pass a vision test, be a legal citizen of Alberta and pass the knowledge test. The first three of these requirements are fairly easy to meet, but the knowledge test can be difficult for
some people. It is important that a person study for this examination before trying to take this exam. The first step in preparing for the knowledge test is to read and study the Alberta Drivers Handbook. This book can be viewed or downloaded at the website, transportation.alberta.ca. After a person has read through the book and studied its contents, they can now take some practice test to see if they remember the necessary information. The website, www.carsaga.com, provides six different practice tests with 30 multiple-choice questions on each test. These tests are based on the information found in the Drivers Handbook. There are more practice tests found at the AMAs (Alberta Motor Association) website, www.ama.ab.ca. This website includes seven different practice tests with 30 questions in each test. This website uses over 150 different questions that come from every category found in the handbook. They add new questions regularly to keep the test up-to-date. While the practice tests at these websites are not the official test, they are close to the one that will be administered. These tests will also let a person know if they are prepared enough to go and take the actual exam. Once the four requirements listed above are met, a person will be given a Class 7 learners license and can practice driving a moped, class 5 motor vehicle and a motorcycle. A person must have their learners license for one year before they are eligible to receive their graduate drivers license. www.carsaga.com or www.ama.ab.ca
